"If you want to hear a great band making even better music, hunt this one
down," exclaims Billboard, of Django & the Regulars' new album, "Laying Low
and Inbetween," which was recorded with renowned producer Don Fleming (Sonic
Youth, Teenage Fan Club, Hole) and Mike Daly of Whiskeytown. Ringleader
Django Haskins tours extensively throughout the US, Canada and Europe, both
solo and with the Regulars, and has shared the stage with the likes of James
Brown, Buffalo Tom, They Might Be Giants, and Trey Anastasio of Phish.
Described variously as "a cross between Elvis Costello and Tom Petty" and
"Norman Rockwell with a Telecaster," Django & the Regulars craft songs with
a McCartney-esque melodic sense, a Costello-like lyrical sharpness, and
perform with the conviction of true rockers.
